Display Energy Certificates (DECs)

 

Required in all public buildings by law since 1st October 2008 the Display Energy Certificates (DECs) must be prominently displayed in non-domestic public buildings with a floor area exceeding 1000m2. Many non-Public offices, proud of their energy efficiency and environmental credentials, also now have Display Energy Certificates. DECs are valid for 1 year, the accompanying Advisory Report which highlights ways to make your building more energy efficient are valid for 7 years.
